Poltair School is proud to offer the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE), providing our learners with an exciting opportunity to develop new skills, build confidence, strengthen their resilience and make a positive contribution to their community.

We currently offer the Bronze Award to our Year 9 learners, and for those who successfully complete this level, we endeavour to support them in progressing towards their Silver Award.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is an internationally recognised programme that encourages young people to challenge themselves, embrace new experiences and develop valuable life skills that will benefit them well beyond their time at school.

At Poltair we work in partnership with Land & Wave, who deliver the expedition section of our DofE programme.
