Milo swims 22 miles for charity

Year 7 student, Milo, recently set himself the challenge of swimming the distance of the English Channel, in order to raise money for Diabetes UK.

Throughout March and April, at St Austell Leisure Centre, Milo swam 22 miles before and after school, and successfully swam his target distance.

Milo said: 'I have decided to try to swim the length of English Channel, because I want to help people with diabetes. My goal is to raise £100, but any more than that would be amazing'.

We are pleased to report that he has raised an amazing £360 for Diabetes UK, absolutely smashing his target!

As a keen swimmer, he is now looking forward to his next swimming challenge.
