Welcome to the Poltair School virtual transition page, for students and their parents who plan on starting with us in September 2021.
Please watch the video below which contains the latest update from Mr Adams, Head of Year 7.
More information coming soon - Stay tuned for updates regarding our transition for students starting Year 7 in September 2021.
Hello everyone! Welcome to the start if the virtual transition process. During todays events you will be introduced to the Year 7 pastoral team including all of the tutor team. At this point you will know what tutor group you are in so it is an opportunity to learn something new about your tutor and they will be setting you a challenge at the end of their videos. We hope you enjoy putting a name to a face and meeting your new tutor. Come back tomorrow to take part in our Virtual Transition Lessons.
Welcome back everyone! This is the guidance for a very unusual Welcome Day! We hope everyone who participates in this day, whether it is in a primary classroom or in the home environment, enjoys what we have created and feels they have learned lots about what Poltair School can offer. We hope you enjoy the 4 lessons and learn plenty of new things. If there are any questions or queries about the day itself or about the transition to Poltair please contact Mr Adams, Head of Year 7, via [email protected]
Poltair School will be running a ‘Super Sixes’ Summer School from Monday 16th August through to Friday 20th August, where all students transitioning to Poltair in September are invited to attend. Students will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the school, meet some key staff, make new friends and take part in some fun learning activities that will focus on the Five Ways to well-being initiative : Keep Learning, Give, Take Notice, Connect and Be Active. The 'Super Sixes' Summer School is free of charge to all students, and we would encourage parents/carers to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and enrol their child on to this provision. Please find below a poster with a QR code and link to enable you to sign up for specific days or all week. If you sign up to three days Monday - Thursday you will then be able to experience an all-inclusive water sports day on the Friday, again free of charge.
Many thanks for taking part in the virtual transition process this year, we hope you enjoyed it.

The reporting of test results can be difficult at times, with the options of Positive and Negative so close together, especially on a phone! These things do happen and it is not an issue, but you must ensure that if there has been a mistake made with you reporting a positive instead of negative, you email
[email protected] as soon as possible- this allows us to liaise with the relevant authorities to identify and then rectify the mistake swiftly.
We continue to appreciate your support with the testing at home to help support keeping our community safe.
