Both heats of Master Chef are now completed and the Key Stage 4 round certainly proved popular. There were some fantastic entries amongst the 27 staff and pupil teams.
The brief for this round was to create Pasta A'la Poltair - the teams were provided with a tray of ingredients, enough to make a pasta dish and a flavoured bread accompaniment. The dishes were interpreted in which ever way the pupils saw fit and the completed dishes showed brilliant creative flair.
Everyone worked really well in their teams and the finished results were fantastic. The judging team:- Mr Tong, Mr King and Mr Marshall tasted a range of dishes from pasta with olive and tomato sauce to cheesy pasta bake and a range of breads from a garlic bread to a French plaited, herb crusted loaf.
Again Mrs Toms was tasked with the exciting job of delivering the finalist news. The 6 finalists from Key Stage 4 and proceeding to the final round on 12 February are:
- Ethan Chapman and Mrs Whitbread-Abrutat
- Harry Greer and Miss Sullivan
- Caleb Hocking and Ms Lobb
- Ashley Murrell and Mr Sugden
- Lauren James and Mrs Thomas

Well done to all of the contestants - every one of you deserved a place in the final - there are certainly some budding Cornish chef's in the clutches of Poltair School.
