Tourism Fair 2007

On May 1st 2007 nine Year 10 Poltair Students took part in The Tourism Fare held at St.Austell College. We were given a short briefing of what the day involved and that we had to produce a project concerning sustainable tourism.

We could have chosen to present our project in anyway we wanted so we chose to do a 3D model showing good and bad tourism in any location on two display boards-one showing sustainable tourism in Cornwall while the other showed tourism having a detrimental effect on Cornwall. In addition to this we created a video with hard hitting messages to the sound track of Snow Patrol’s “Open your Eyes”. We chose the song “Open your Eyes” and entitled the project “Open your Eyes” because we need people to look at what’s happening and what will happen to the environment if tourism is not developed sustainably.
