Gifted & Talented
At Poltair School, we firmly believe in raising the aspirations of our pupils by encouraging them to aim high. There is a whole-school register of Gifted and Talented pupils which is reviewed yearly. Pupils of Year 7 will expect to hear news of being identified at the end of their first year. If you are on the Gifted and Talented register, you will have a G&T Leader in your tutor group who is in charge of informing you of upcoming events and notices. All G&T pupils receive a 'GT Cashcard' where they can collect reward stickers for taking part in different activities. A completed card can be redeemed for a variety of rewards.
At the heart of the G&T programme is the aim of ensuring pupils are being stretched and challenged in lessons in order for them to achieve their full potential. Further information about how Poltair intends to achieve this is available from the school G&T policy.
