Year 10 Enterprise Day - Mission Implausible 08

Job Hunting is difficult at the best of times but securing a position as a secret agent is very difficult just ask any Year 10 pupil.

Mission Implausible

Wednesday morning started with Agent Jones informing the Year that a valuable trophy presented to the school by the King had been stolen and there was an imperative need to recruit a Year 10 spy to track down its whereabouts

Divided into seven teams with codenames like Spooks, Diplomats and Ambassadors the pupils were on the brink of entering the world of intrigue and espionage.  All they had to do was pass the selection test...

Their first task was to complete an application form under the expert guidance of Form Tutors who later coached all important interview technique skills.  Then the prospective spies were put through their paces with psychometric tests and team leadership skills.

To cap a full and rigorous day all the pupils were interviewed by adults drafted in from the world of work.

Mr Lake, Head of Careers, said "The Day, which was Mr Jones's brainwave, was thoroughly successful.  The tongue in cheek parody of Spy movies was taken in good part by teachers, pupils and visitors alike.  This year group is used to devoting themselves to whole day projects whether it is for Citizenship or Enterprise and they rise to the challenge every time without fail."

Head of Business and Communication, Mr Jones, declared the day "great fun with lots of valuable learning taking place.  With the job market becoming increasingly competitive such days help to give our pupils some advantage.  We are extremely grateful to all who helped make this day such a success."
