Poltair Gallery

As part of our focus on celebrating achievement and raising the aspirations of all our learners we are setting up a ‘Poltair Gallery’ featuring the achievements of former Poltair students.

Alex Ley

• Poltair 1994 - 2004
• Obtained BTEC National Diploma for IT practitioners at Cornwall College (St. Austell).In 2006, he was awarded a scholarship to study for a BSc in Computing & IT at the University of Surrey achieving a First class honors degree upon graduation.
• Alex has became a professional member of the British Computer Society (MBCS) and is working at Accenture Technology Solutions as Software Engineer for financial services clients.

Gareth Hawken

• Poltair from 1990-1995
• Completed A-levels at St Austell College in Mathematics, Business Studies and Physical Education. Further Education at Plymouth University where he obtained a BA in Business Administration
• Current role - Police Constable in Devon and Cornwall Constabulary
